This page records changes we observe ourselves, and it starts on the day we started recording — there is nothing in it from before that, because we have no verified record of what these channels charged before we began reading their pages. Where a drug has a documented price history we can cite, we publish it separately and say where each figure came from.

How do you know when a GLP-1 price changes?

An automated watcher diffs every tracked provider pricing page weekly. When it flags a difference, the page is re-read at source and the dataset updated with a new verification date. A build check then refuses to pass until the change has been written to this record, so a price cannot move quietly.

This record starts when we started. There is nothing here from before 2026-09-07, and there never will be. We have no verified record of what these channels charged before we began reading their pages, and a longer chart is not worth a number nobody can check. Where a drug has a documented history we can actually cite, it gets published separately with a source on every line — the Wegovy price history is the one we have so far.

What we have from before

One drug has a history we could source line by line: Wegovy, from its 2024 list price through the 2025 direct-to-consumer programmes to today's pharmacy pricing. 5 of its 7 entries are verified at a primary source and the rest are labelled as reported, because that is what they are. How this works

A watcher reads the pages weekly. It diffs every tracked provider pricing page and flags any difference. It does not update anything by itself — a flag sends a human to re-read the page at source.
The dataset carries the new figure and a new date. Every row states whether the price is checkout-verified by us, listed on the provider's own page, or reported by a third party we have not yet confirmed.
Recording is not optional. A build check compares the dataset against this record and fails if a priced row has moved without being written down. That is deliberate: prices.json is edited in place, so without the check the old figure would simply be gone.
Nothing here is edited afterwards. The change list is append-only. A correction is a new entry, not a quiet revision — a history you can rewrite is not a history. Editorial corrections go in the changelog.
